![]() Open up Steam and navigate to your LIBRARY. However, that hasn't been updated yet either. From this side, knowing that your game doesn't work seems to be a pretty big deal.引用自 hookman:There is a legacy branch that is supposed to be the previous version, in theory everyone in your game could roll back to that. Thank you for directing me to Aspyr Support's "Submit a request" web form. This is happening in all Mac only multiplayer games. I currently have 145 Friends of Steam who I have met solely through playing Mac multiplayer Civ 6 games. Our issue isn't really about cross-platform play. Aspyr Support Īll of the errors we are reporting are happening when MAC players are playing with other MAC players. If after all that, you're still running into problems, please hit up our support team so we can get details and look into the problem further. It's likely that those mods (user created content) are outdated and are conflicting with default game files. If you're still getting disconnect or out of sync errors with other Mac players, you can try verifying the game cache integrity and/or uninstalling any mods that you've downloaded prior to updating. ![]() ![]() other Mac players by joining this Civ 6 Mac group: Civ 6 Mac Steam Group As of the latest Summer Update, its too unstable for cross platform. We still working with 2K to get that feature available. Trying to connect to games on a different platform will result in the error you're describing. 引用自 Zacurtjadi:"RETRIEVING HOST INFORMATION." (game stalls out)Ĭross-platform is unfortunately still not yet available between Windows and Mac players. Today was borderlining demanding a refund. How do we raise this with Aspyr, Firaxis and/or Steam? There has to be a way to get our voice heard. I'm going to put my wishlist of improvements in the drawer and hope Aspyr or Firaxis address the MP performance before it pushes me back to single player mode which in time will make me stop playing altogether. Nobody expected to take not steps but leaps backwards. Hoping for big ticket updates like cross-platform MP and other game improvements but -at a minimum- expecting stability improvements. But offering stable MP capability just can't be this hard (other developers pull it off on other games) and it's such a part of the essence of the game.Īll MAC users were anxiously looking forward to this recent update with their wishlist in hand. I can accept the in-game bugs as I appreciate the depth and layers of the game and the almost impossible task to get it all to work together. Is it Aspyr? Firaxis? Or Steam? Or all three? The reality is that the Mac users, who have been incredibly loyal and tolerant as Zac pointed out, are not getting what they paid for. Then if you were lucky enough to get a game going, it was uncommon to go more than 5 turns without one of the players getting booted again. Once you did manage to get in, it was a matter of minutes before you or the other players got kicked out. This wasn't very good prior to the patch with the inevitable "Error joining Multiplayer Game" but absolutely took a turn for the worse. We all tried everything from rehosting, rebooting to even reinstalling Steam and Civ but it all made no difference. Getting a game going from the staging room was next to impossible with players getting kicked out constantly. estimating one went till turn 40 and the other one till turn 50. Spent 6 hours in total and we got no more than 2 half games in. I was there for most or all of it on this disastrous Saturday 9/9. They're great! I've spent a lot of time with them, and I don't know how else to explain how we tolerate this negative customer experience. Mac Civ 6 players may very well be your most passionate and dedicated players and fans. Today, I've spent 2 hours playing and 4 hours just trying to join Staging Rooms. Since the Nubia update, it's far worse than before. Before the update, I'm being kind in guessing that at least 1/3 of my that time was spent in Staging Rooms, waiting for games or trying to reconnect to games. The Steam app tells me that I currently have 1519 hours played in Civ 6. And we still get countless disconnects during multiplayer games. Rejoining and re-hosting rooms, restarting both Steam and Civ 6, uninstalling and reinstalling Steam and Civ.nothing fixes this. It's hard to believe that it can be worse than before the update, but it is. While the good news is that the Nubia update has been released for Mac players, the bad news is that it is nearly impossible to host or join multiplayer games since the update-players get disconnected/"kicked" from staging rooms constantly, and/or experience endless error messages when trying to join Staging Rooms.
